Asif Ali zardari has no political background , when he married to Benazir Bhutto (Ex president of Pakistan) his career were started at that time. After his wife death (Benazir Bhutto) hé got sympathy votes and he was elected as a President of pakistan. Some peeps said that Asif Ali Zardari tenure was good, but some analyst says that Zardari’s tenure was not very good because of several reasons. Becomes the country first democratically elected president to end a full term in office. His major achievement is seen as heading the first to serve full term civilian government. He was hated by many of his wife closest supporters in the People’s Party (or the Bhutto Family Party, as disgruntled members refer to it) even while she was alive. They blamed his greed and godfather’s behavior for explaining her fall from power on two previous occasions, which I always thought was unfair.
Today, he is the second richest person in the country, with real estate and bank accounts in many continents, including a mansion in Surrey valued at several millions. Many of Benazir’s inner circle, who were marginalized by the new president by electing his non political sister from Larkana, who had until then been the Jeep neighborhood of the Bhutto family strongly hated him. Benazir Mumtaz Bhutto (the head of the clan) strongly denounced him. Some even encourage the strange view that he was responsible for her death. This is stupidity. He is just trying to fulfill her legacy. Sure enough, he was accused of ordering the killing of his son in law, Murtaza Bhutto, while Benazir was prime minister, but the case was never tried. One of Zardari’s first acts after his party’s victory in the February elections was to appoint Shoaib Sadil, the senior police officer associated with Murtaza Bhutto, to ambush and kill, as head of the Federal Intelligence . Loyalty is always paid in full.

Some the key issues are following as
- Energy crisis
- Terrorism
- Poverty
- Youth unemployment
Cases Of Poverty in Pakistan
- Smuggling
- Government Bad Policies
- Over Population
- Lack Of Education
- Unemployment
These were the main issue I’ve highlights that zardari’s government facing at that time. The PPP had a firm approach to terrorism and a strong belief in having a better national defense. PPP did everything it was able to do to eradicate this disease from society and succeeded to its fullest. The PPP supported the SWAT operation despite pressure from the opposition Taliban movement and military operations took place in the tribal areas.
The PPP believes that the rise in terrorism is due to low wages and limited job opportunities. Thus, in order to reduce the suffering of the people, the party took very important steps. The Public Private Partnership Program funded 7.5 million needy families through the Benazir Income Support Program. A total of 70 billion have been distributed. There was also a significant rise in wheat production which contributed a lot to Pakistan’s GDP. These constitutional reforms have been heavily criticized by the opponents, but the PPP has confidently emerged as their game plan has been to do so from the time of inception. The PPP always believed in fair democracy, and therefore, they made this decision in the interest of the public, which subsequently proved to be showing positive results. And on the other hand some Analyst says that, The economy has been brought back to life through many projects. Like the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline deal, which helped to boost industries in Pakistan, and led a drop in energy costs. Also, the agreement concluded with China regarding the Gwadar port continues to benefit the Pakistani economy and continues to contribute to the GDP. When PPP government was Zardari’s give freedom to everyone to speak, to write personally I thing his tenure was best for journalist. There were no Limitations of print and broadcast media. And he also give billions to the media company for there new project, and invest huge amount of money on government ads. Pakistani media have been granted complete freedom of expression to comment on any cabinet ministers and officeholders in order to express the opinion of the general public. One of the most recognized public-private partnership efforts was the reforms they introduced to empower women and protect their rights. This was done through the employment of women as party workers and through anti-harassment legislation and other laws and plans to support women.

Zardari proved himself to be an opportunist when he shared power with the Pakistan Muslim League the party he called the Qatil League. Chaudhry pervaiz Ilahi became Deputy Prime Minister, an office there was no provision in the constitution. His son Moonis ilahi was cleared of a serious corruption charge and no appeal was filed against him because the PML-Q was part of the coalition. At that time when serious punishment of criminals was needed to rid the country of terrorist activities, President Zardari used his constitutional powers to halt the execution of some 8,000 sentenced prisoners. Here one question raises in my mind that, why President Zardari failed to bring the killers of Benazir Bhutto to justice even after six years of the tragedy remains a question mark? Is it not surprising that the PPP has been in power for a full five years and does not know the killers of Benazir? Those arrested on charges, including General Musharraf, have become scapegoats

In my opinion President Zardari is a skilled and cleaver political leader who can even take his opponents with him. They say it was a great achievement for Mr. Zardari that he enabled the PPP to complete its constitutional term and they also called him “KING MAKKER” But critics say the alliance held together because it served each other’s political and financial interests. Not many people know that Zardari used to sacrifice one goat in the presidency every day to save himself from evil spirits. A pirate has lived in the presidency all these years to “direct” the president of the Islamic Republic what he should or should not do at a certain time.
It will become clear in the years to come if the PIR can do something for the PPP when he is out of power.
